A new controversy has been created by the promotional photos of Miss Universe 2010 contestants. Contestants vying for the Miss Universe 2010 crown, posed for a series of racy photos that feature them wearing little more than decorative body paint.
According to Huffingtonpost website: Fox411 has slammed Miss Universe, saying the competition has “sunk to a new low” after some contestants posed topless for a promotional photo shoot. As Courtney Friel exclaims, they “even used body paint like the Playboy Bunnies!”
“The contestants who compete at Miss Universe are diverse as they represent more than 82 countries around the globe. Many of their cultures embrace nudity. These photos are a form of artistic expression for each contestant and we respect their desire to pose topless, or not. We feel the images captured are fashionable and cutting edge!” – Lark-Marie Anton (Vice President, Marketing and Public Relations, Miss Universe)
